Innovation is one of Elivia’s strengths : we consider that, to exist on our markets, we must not only meet our customers’ and consumers’ needs to perfection, but we must also anticipate them.

This practice is in our company’s genes : for example, it was Elivia which, at the end of the 1990s, developed the first industrial line for producing "low pressure" burgers developed the first industrial line for producing "low pressure" burgers ("minced as by the butcher"). This was then a first in the world! It was also an Elivia site which, in 2000, was equipped with the first scalding tunnel for pig slaughtering, which, at the time, was a major advance limiting bacterial contamination.

Recently, Elivia also set up the first international scientific symposium on the fight against E. coli and improving sanitary conditions generally. This procedure continues and has already provided some fundamental knowledge in the management of health risks. Based on this knowledge, Elivia was also the first industrialist to sell fresh burgers following release tests.

In another field, Elivia was also the first to use a plastic containing 25% recycled material for its containers, and it is continuing its research and development work to develop 100% recyclable containers.

In 2009 Elivia reinvented minced meat once again by developing "knife chopped" products for its Tendre Et PLUS trademark. Through its processed products brand, Elivia remains the biggest supplier of innovative new products every year.
